I'll start with the boring stuff here and then, at the bottom, the REAL boring stuff.
This is just simply a place for me to manage all the notes I have accumulated, some with screenshots, in the 10+ years or so as a computer network GUY.
Some of these notes are very simplistic, but not always easy to remember. Especially in the heat of the moment trying to fix an end user's trouble flavor of the day. Other notes are more involved with things like IIS web server configurations, TrendMicro Antivirus server conversions, ISA firewall setup and so on.
I only charge, for this information's use, in the form of you MUST spread it around. Let folks know what you know. There is no more powerful a tool than shared knowledge. Hey, if you don't remember it, no fear, just send them here to my HeadTreez.
I promised, or suggestively forced upon you, the REAL boring stuff. So, here it is.
I am a Network Engineer (man that sounds fluffy) with my Microsoft MCSE certification. I mainly work with the management of current systems for a major manufacturer vs. actual design (engineering) work. I have fairly extensive experience with the following Microsoft products / methodologies :
- ISA 2000 / 2004 / 2006 Firewalls
- IIS on Windows 2000, 2003 and 2008
XP, Vista
- SQL 2000 and 2005
- Active Directory planning, implementation and management
- VPN solutions
- Cross platform network integrations
Well, that pretty much does it.
Just like the branches of these Spaniard "Brain Trees" my brain is full and overflowing. To allow for any further retention, of even conversations 1 minute ago, I have to push some stuff out to make room for more. This HeadTree will help me do just that!
